# Multi ID

Multi ID is the identity and addressing standard for economic entities:
four surfaces (resolve, identify, verify, select), signed Multi Cards
(JCS RFC 8785 + Ed25519), provenance on every resolved line.

## Surfaces (no signup, no key, no payment - ever)

- GET /identify?q={name} - search, scored candidates with trust states
- GET /resolve/company/{siren} - signed card; Accept: text/markdown for the agent face
- POST /verify - body: a signed card; returns {valid} or a typed reason
- POST /claim - {siren, domain, public_key}; well-known challenge, signed attestation
- GET /.well-known/multi-id - machine manifest with the signing key

Every INFORMATION line carries trust (resolved|attested), a named source
and retrieved_at. resolved means "here is what we found", never "this is true".
